Your Privacy Choices
Version 1.0 — 2 August 2026.
This page is the control panel. Everything you can require us to do about your personal information, in one place, with the switches attached rather than described.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do disclose online identifiers to advertising partners in a way that California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other state laws define as a sale, as sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising, or as targeted advertising. Use the button below to opt out of that on this browser.
This preference is stored in this browser. If you clear your cookies, use a different browser, or use a different device, you will need to set it again — which is a limitation of the mechanism, not a choice we made. To apply an opt-out to your account across every device, write to info@universalassetowners.com with "Opt out" in the subject.
Global Privacy Control
We honour the Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser or extension sends GPC, we treat it as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing and of targeted advertising, and you do not need to press anything on this page.

Advertising choices
Advertising is what keeps the daily brief free to read. You can still turn off the personalisation.
- Google: My Ad Center and Google Ads Settings.
- Monumetric: Publisher Advertising Privacy.
- Industry-wide: Digital Advertising Alliance · Network Advertising Initiative · Your Online Choices (Europe) · AdChoices Canada.
- Analytics: Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Readers in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland: consent is the basis on which advertising and analytics cookies may be set at all. Our consent management platform is being brought into service; until it is live, advertising to those territories is restricted to non-personalised advertising. We would rather tell you where we are than imply a control exists that does not yet.
Email choices
- Unsubscribe — every email we send carries a working one-click unsubscribe link in the footer. It takes effect immediately.
- Change which newsletters you get — the same link lets you keep some and drop others.
- Stop open and click tracking — turn off automatic image loading in your mail client.
- Delete your subscriber record entirely — write to info@universalassetowners.com with "Delete subscriber record" in the subject.
Professional outreach
If we have contacted you at work about journalism, an event, or a commercial matter and you would rather we did not, write to info@universalassetowners.com with "Remove from contact file" in the subject. We remove you permanently and, on request, your whole organisation. Section 9 of the Privacy Policy explains where that file comes from.
Access, correction, deletion and portability
Write to info@universalassetowners.com with the right you are exercising in the subject line — Access, Correct, Delete, Portability, Object, or Restrict. We acknowledge within 10 days and answer within 30. It is free, we will not ask you to open an account to do it, and we will not treat you differently for having asked.
You may use an authorised agent; we will ask them for proof of authorisation. If we have to refuse part of a request — most often because the material is published journalism or because tax law requires us to keep a record — we will tell you which part and why. The limits are set out in section 12 of the Privacy Policy.
Corrections
If something we have published about you is wrong, this is not the right page. Go to Corrections. We correct errors visibly and we say what we changed. We do not unpublish accurate reporting.
Complaints
Tell us first — info@universalassetowners.com. If we do not resolve it, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, your national supervisory authority in the EEA, the Information Commissioner's Office in the United Kingdom, or your state Attorney General in the United States.
