The basics

Section I · 01–04
01Audience

Who is Universal Asset Owners built for?

Sovereign wealth funds, public and corporate pension funds, endowments, foundations, multi-generational family offices, insurance investment arms, central-bank-adjacent investment institutions, OCIOs, and the institutional consultants, asset managers, and policy institutions that serve them.

02Definition

What does “Universal Asset Owners” mean?

A universal asset owner is an investor so large, diversified, and long-term that they effectively own a slice of the entire global economy. They cannot stock-pick their way around systemic risks — climate, geopolitics, AI infrastructure, demographics, debt sustainability — because they are exposed to almost everything.

Universal Asset Owners is the editorial platform built for that audience.

03Scope

Is the research investment advice?

No. Nothing we publish is investment, legal, tax, or fiduciary advice, and nothing is a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Probability estimates are analytical judgments under uncertainty, not forecasts and not guarantees. Members should conduct their own independent analysis.

04Editorial

How do you choose what to cover?

Editorially. Coverage is driven by what matters to long-horizon institutional capital, not by sponsorship. Sponsored content is clearly labeled and lives outside the research products. See our Editorial Standards and Ethics & Conflicts of Interest.

Seats and access

Section II · 05–07
05Seats

Can multiple people from our organization access the membership?

Yes. Each tier includes a fixed number of named users. Institutional Core covers up to 5; Institutional Intelligence up to 10; Strategic Council up to 25. Sovereign / Enterprise seat counts are negotiated by contract.

06Expansion

Can we add more seats?

Yes. Additional seats are priced separately. We can also restructure a Strategic Council or Sovereign agreement to include a larger named-user group up front.

07Transitions

What happens when someone leaves our team?

Reassign the seat by emailing info@universalassetowners.com. We do not deactivate access mid-cycle unless the seat is replaced.

Pricing, billing, procurement

Section III · 08–11
08Billing

How is payment structured?

Institutional Core and Institutional Intelligence are offered as annual memberships via Stripe checkout or annual invoicing on request. Strategic Council and Sovereign / Enterprise are always invoiced on a contract schedule.

09Procurement

Can sovereign funds and public institutions subscribe through procurement?

Yes. We support procurement-grade proposals, multi-year agreements, vendor onboarding paperwork, and standard institutional contracting. Write to info@universalassetowners.com with your procurement contact and we will route accordingly.

10Cancellation

Can we cancel?

Memberships are annual. Self-serve memberships can be cancelled inside the member portal and will not renew at the end of the cycle. Strategic Council and Sovereign agreements follow their contract terms.

11Discounts

Do you offer discounts?

We do not run promotional discounts. We do offer multi-year terms and bundled engagements at Strategic Council and above, and a starter package for very small foundations and family offices under specific circumstances.

Editorial Q&A and custom work

Section IV · 12–15
12Q&A

How does the editorial Q&A surface work in practice?

It is available at Institutional Intelligence and above. It covers research clarification, source questions, scenario follow-up, and interpretation of our published work.

Standard SLA is 24 business hours; priority SLA at Strategic Council is same-business-day when reasonable. Q&A is not investment, legal, tax, or fiduciary advice. Out-of-scope or repeated heavy-use requests are routed into a separate custom-research engagement.

13Custom

Can we request custom research?

Strategic Council includes up to four custom research memos per year. Sovereign / Enterprise includes a custom research agenda. Core and Intelligence members can commission custom research separately on a scoped-engagement basis.

14Coverage

Can you tailor coverage to our portfolio?

Strategic Council and above includes a custom watchlist of countries, sectors, companies, and themes. Briefings, scenarios, and memos are then framed against that watchlist.

15NDAs

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes. Mutual NDAs are standard for Strategic Council and Sovereign engagements. We do not accept material non-public information from members under any circumstance.
